It attracts new players to the value chain who bring new initiatives, approaches and business models. • François Nuyts, VP & Country Manager, Amazon Spain & Italy Moderator: Prof. Iñigo Gallo, IESE Business School |

The world population will reach 8.4 billion by 2030 – and 9.6 billion by 2050. Seventy percent of which will live in cities. But this growth will not be uniform at regional or continental level. While the European population is aging, Africa and Asia show positive demographic growth.
The rise in world population will increase the importance of the food and beverage industry. It will be called upon to respond to some of the issues arising from this demographic growth, such as nutrition, sustainability, agricultural production and innovation. • Anabel Aragón, Responsible for Nutrition and Health, Nestlé Spain • Prof. J. Alfredo Martínez, Professor of Nutrition and Director of the Nutrition Research Centre, University of Navarra • Diana Roig, Nutrition & Health Manager, Unilever Spain Moderator: Raimon Ripoll, Partner, Deloitte | |

16:45 – 17:55 | IT’S ABOUT THE COMPANY AND LEADERSHIP |
16:45 - 17:20 | The food and beverage industry is one of the world’s leading employers. It generates employment and growth along the value chain, starting with the primary sector, right through processing and distribution, and ending with the restaurant and hospitality segment. And lest we forget the close relations that tie it to tourism and gastronomy.
The management and leadership of companies within the sector also add to its importance and weight in many countries’ economies as a result of the mission and values that they are steeped in. Values that often lead them to become global, innovative firms that generate growth. Firms that learn from their mistakes and know how to refocus their strategy in volatile times.
