The Financial Times has ranked IESE’s full-time MBA as the third-best program in Europe and one of the top five programs in the world. This result in the FT Global MBA Ranking 2024, out today, comes off the back of a string of excellent performances in all the major international rankings – highlighting the high international standing of the school over several years.
One of the reasons for IESE´s good performance in this latest FT ranking is the exceptional international learning experience the school provides MBAs. This includes bringing together a highly diverse class (87% international students) and faculty from all over the world, which enhances classroom discussions and networking opportunities. In addition, the program deep dives into global business topics and offers immersive international modules on four continents, providing students with enriching cross-cultural learning experiences.
In terms of career progress, the ability of IESE graduates to achieve their goals for doing an MBA also stood out (ranking no.4 in the world for aims achieved) showcasing the relevancy of the program to fulfill their professional needs. Moreover, IESE’s MBA is notable for its highly regarded career center, as well as its engaged alumni network (no.5 in the world) of 57,000 executives spread across more than 150 countries.
Another reason for IESE´s high position is its focus on sustainability. The school’s MBA is ranked second in the world for ESG and net zero teaching, which looks at course content dedicated to ethics, social, environmental issues, and climate solutions for how organizations can reach net zero. IESE also scored highly for its emphasis on reducing its carbon footprint.
Finally, it’s worth noting the outstanding feedback given by the school´s alumni, who rated their satisfaction with their overall IESE experience as 9.6 out of 10. This showcases one of the strengths of the school: the care and personal attention it provides students throughout the program, which includes, among others, small group exercises, the faculty´s “open-door” policy to provide mentoring and guidance, and an emphasis on building community.
For Marc Badia, IESE Deputy Dean and Associate Dean for MBA & MiM programs: “The IESE MBA is a truly intense journey of personal and professional transformation for students. Our strong performance in this ranking over several years reflects some of the DNA of IESE’s MBA. This includes the personal approach we take to developing each student, which involves highly personalized follow-up and support. Our holistic approach to sustainability and responsible business throughout the MBA also helps prepare students to become a force for positive change in the world. In addition, the international nature of our MBA helps broaden their horizons while enriching classroom discussions and connections. Meanwhile, our active career center and engaged alumni network helps open up new professional opportunities.”
