The Financial Times has named IESE as one of Europe´s top three business schools, reflecting the outstanding quality and consistency of the school´s programs. It caps a year in which IESE Business School has consistently placed within the top positions in the world for all the individual FT program rankings in which it competes (MBA, Executive Education, Master in Management and the Global Executive MBA.)
The FT European Business School Ranking 2023 is a composite ranking, which means that it combines a school´s results in the FT´s individual rankings, released earlier in the year, for the MBA, Executive Education (Open and Custom), Masters in Management, and Executive MBA programs. As such, it rewards schools that have a broad portfolio of business education programs and who maintain consistency in quality across their offerings. In addition to IESE´s strong performance across the board in the FT´s 2023 rankings, particularly of note this year was IESE´s excellent ranking positions at no.3 in the world for the MBA and no.2 in the world for Executive Education.
A common theme among IESE´s 2023 FT ranking results has been the school scoring highly on metrics that look at how relevant programs are at catering to business needs, as well as the career opportunities that are opened up for students after studying at the school. The international approach IESE takes to business also stood out – not just in terms of the mix of international students and faculty in classes (which can enhance networking opportunities and the richness of class discussions) but also in terms of the course content itself. Also of note has been the excellent feedback students and alumni gave about their time at IESE, as well as IESE placing within the top positions in the world on metrics that look at the number of teaching hours dedicated to topics related to environmental, social and governance issues.
Marc Badia, Deputy Dean of IESE Business School, says, “It is pleasing to see how our excellent performance throughout the FT´s rankings this year has been underpinned by high marks for many aspects of the IESE experience that we hold dear. Whether that´s our programs´ focus on real-world relevance, or the international flavor of our programs, faculty, and students.”
He adds that “the career prospects and satisfaction participants express about their experience at IESE are also a source of pride, as is our dedication to sustainability, which reflects our broader focus on responsible education. At IESE, we view rankings not as an end but as a reminder of our commitment to offering impactful business education to executives worldwide.”
