IESE ranks second in the world for executive education in both the ranking of open programs offered by business schools for executives and the ranking of custom programs designed for organizations, both published today by the Financial Times. This year, the FT highlighted IESE's internationality in both rankings, as well as the relevance of its programs and participant satisfaction. The ranking further consolidates IESE's position as one of the world's leading business schools for executive education.
Until last year, the FT also published an overall combined ranking that averaged the results of both rankings (open and custom programs for organizations) for all executive education. Since 2015, IESE's executive education programs had been ranked No. 1 or 2 globally in this combined ranking.
“IESE’s excellent position in the FT's worldwide rankings of open and custom programs, published today, recognizes our ability to offer an exceptional global experience to the executives, entrepreneurs and corporate clients who come to us for their education” says Andrea Montalvo, Associate Dean of Executive Education and member of IESE’s Executive Committee. “It also underlines the relevance of our programs with a focus on general management, which allows us to take a broad view of the major challenges facing executives today, such as artificial intelligence and sustainability. To this end, this year we have continued to innovate in program formats and methodologies, always seeking the best learning experience for executives.”
Internationality
In the Open Programs ranking, IESE stands out in the internationality of its faculty (No. 2 in the world), the diversity of nationalities in class, its campuses located around the world (No. 2 in the world) and its alliances with partner schools (No. 2 in the world). The school has first-rate strategic partners for executive education in programs such as the Global CEO Program with the MIT Sloan School of Management and the C-Suite Pathway program with NYU Stern.
IESE also stands out in all categories that measure internationality in the Custom Programs ranking. The school ranks first in the world in international corporate clients, second in partnerships with other business schools for program delivery and third in the international reach of its programs.
Relevance
Participants in both IESE's open and custom programs particularly valued the new skills and learning acquired in the programs and the encouragement of new ways of thinking. IESE ranks fourth in the world in this category in both rankings published today by the FT. Participants also rate program design very highly as well as the balance of academic rigor and practical classroom relevance.
In addition, the Custom Programs ranking specifically highlights the ability of IESE's programs to meet the needs of clients (No. 4 in the world). The school designs and delivers programs for clients such as Henkel, Shiseido, Amadeus, European Broadcasting Union and BBVA.
Satisfaction
In the Open Programs ranking, IESE once again stands out in terms of participant satisfaction, scoring 9.91 out of 10, the third highest score of all the ranked schools.
Meanwhile, the Custom Programs ranking highlights the high likelihood of clients returning to the school for further education, demonstrating their satisfaction with the IESE experience.
The Financial Times ranking is based on survey responses from Custom Program clients and Open Programs participants, combined with data provided by the business schools themselves across a range of different criteria.
