Creating More Happy Endings
IESE Christmas campaign raises funds for educational project in Congo
December 7, 2017
Want to help create true stories with happy endings during this holiday season?
IESE has launched its Christmas fundraising campaign, #SparkHappyEndings, which this year will help young women in the Congo receive the professional training they need to work in the hotel and restaurant sectors and lift themselves out of poverty.
There are a number of ways for members of the IESE community to participate in the campaign, which will support the LTPK Project. You can buy gift items in IESE cafeterias and dining rooms, or you can add 10 to the price of your cafeteria meal. You can also make a direct donation which the IESE Foundation will match.
The goal is to raise 20,000 over the holiday season, which will help 80 young women fulfill their dreams of receiving professional training.
The LTPK Project is centered in the municipality of Mont-Ngafula in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The young women study at the Lycée Technique et Profesionnel Kimbondo, where, over six months, they receive specific training in hotel and catering services, a growing sector in the Congo.
