The process of commercializing novel products within high-tech markets is challenging for knowledge intensive firms who seek to capture the first mover advantage whilst balancing technical feasibility and value offering of the innovation. Formulation of market positioning strategies in early product development stages can facilitate smoother, well established market entry within the industry value chain.
