What is your career profile?
At IESE, all our MBA programs are designed to sharpen your business acumen and provide a holistic view of management. However, the cohorts differ significantly in terms of age, experience, and international exposure. Peer-to-peer interaction and building a strong network are essential to the learning experience.
Executive MBA (EMBA):

- The focus is on enhancing business knowledge, management skills, and team leadership capabilities.
Global EMBA (GEMBA):
- Candidates have more than 10 years of relevant work experience, with an average of 14 years.
- Average age is 40.

- Emphasizes leadership, stakeholder management, and the skills needed to excel in multicultural settings.
Which program structure fits you best?
Executive MBA (EMBA):
- Offered at four campuses (Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, or São Paulo) over 18 months.
- Classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays (weekly or bi-weekly) and Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (tri-weekly), depending on the location, with at least 2 intensive international weeks.
- The structure typically attracts participants from a variety of regions, fostering a strong, diverse network that includes both local and international profiles.
Global EMBA (GEMBA):
- Combines remote learning with 15 weeks of on-campus immersion over 16 months.
- On-campus sessions take place in 6–8 different cities across four continents.
- The structure typically attracts participants with global careers or ambitions to become global changemakers
What are your end goals?
Understanding your ultimate objectives is critical when choosing an MBA program. Consider whether you aim to accelerate your career growth, explore new professional paths, or move into senior leadership roles. Reflecting on these goals will help ensure the program you choose aligns with your aspirations.
Although the Executive MBA and Global EMBA share much of the academic content, they differ in higher-level learning objectives and cohort aspirations. To determine which program best supports your needs and goals, we recommend scheduling a meeting with an admissions mentor who can guide you towards the ideal path.
