The IESE MBA: Program Overview

The Board of Universities, under ministerial regulation, recognizes the MBA delivered by IESE Business School as an official master.

The program stands out for its strong international character, with students who hail from more than 50 countries and faculty members reflecting 27 different nationalities. It also offers a unique bilingual dimension (English/Spanish). IESE students accepted into the program typically have 5 years of work experience on average, speak more than one language, and are seeking careers in global business or interested in starting their own company.
Classes are held from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a-m. – 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 – 3:15 p.m. There are breaks between each class. You will also have teamwork exercises in your daily timetable.
At IESE, English is the working language used in the classroom. You must be fluent in English in order to be considered for the MBA program. Some electives in Spanish are offered during the second year of the program for students seeking bilingual degree qualifications.
Visa requirements vary depending on the country where the program is located, and on the nationality of individual students.
IESE has five campuses in some of the world’s most interesting, vibrant cities. IESE’s main campus is in Barcelona, Spain, and we also have campuses in Madrid, Munich, New York and São Paulo.

IESE has three MBA programs: one full-time MBA and two different Executive MBAs. Our full-time MBA is a 2-year program aimed at professionals with 5 to 7 years work experience looking to accelerate their leadership career.
Our 18-month Executive MBA (EMBA) is designed for professionals with an average of 10 years of work experience looking to prepare for the challenges of today’s interconnected, global business world.
Our 17-month Global Executive MBA is a blended program that takes place in five business hubs: Barcelona, New York, Munich, Silicon Valley and Asia. Participants have an average of 15 years of experience and aim to become truly global leaders.
