The Library will be holding a special webinar for IESE PhD students and research assistants about WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services) for Research on Tuesday, October 10, at 1 p.m. The session will last approximately an hour.
The objective of this training session is to give you a basic understanding of WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services). WRDS representative Victoria Kent will present WRDS Platform capabilities and functions. The training session will include:
1. Introduction to WRDS:
• Overview of subscriptions.
• Using the Web interface: searching for data, web query, data downloads.
• Using remote connection. Working in the server with SAS studio to be able to make use all support documentation in WRDS.
2. WRDS added value:
• Support: manuals, overviews, sample programs, etc.
• Classroom tools.
• Analytics tools.
3. Research:
• Sample programs.
• Linking databases.

About the database:
Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) provides the leading business intelligence, data analytics, and research platform to global institutions ̶ enabling comprehensive thought leadership, historical analysis, and insight into the latest innovations in research.
Warehouse of financial, accounting, banking, economics, management, marketing, and public policy databases accessible through a single Web-based interface. WRDS provides access for IESE researchers only to those databases licensed explicitly by IESE.
