The Orbis subscription has been expanded and we will now have access to information from medium and small companies, in addition to the very large and large ones to which we already had access. This means that we have access to all the information contained in Orbis global, which as of today amounts to 524,256,432 companies.
Orbis is a global database, produced by Moody's, of information on public and private companies worldwide.
Think of Orbis when you want to:
• Get extensive data about a company including locations of subsidiaries
• Screen for companies based on geography, financial performance, industry, deals, ownership structure, number of employees, year of incorporation and other criteria
• Compare a company to its competitors along multiple dimensions.
How to access Orbis?
Access Orbis campus-wide and off campus, from the Top Databases menu on the Library homepage, clicking on Orbis, or from the the A-Z Databases page.
Also you can access Orbis via WRDS campus-wide and off campus, from the A-Z Databases page clicking on WRDS. You need to obtain your WRDS account.
