Blockchain Essentials: Technology, Strategy and Business Integration

15 years since the birth of Bitcoin and blockchain technology, the former has emerged as a notable success, with its market capitalization reaching US$700 billion by early 2024, further solidifying its presence with the recent SEC approval of a Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF). However, beyond the success of Bitcoin, the broader landscape of cryptocurrency and blockchain applications has faced challenges in demonstrating consistent real-world business value. Despite this, ongoing technological and business innovations are paving the way for blockchain-based products and services that show promise in outperforming traditional alternatives. Throughout this course, participants will gain insights into the foundational aspects of Bitcoin and blockchain technology, assessing their capabilities and limitations. The focus extends beyond theoretical discussions to practical considerations, analyzing various real-world use cases and guiding participants in developing a robust blockchain adoption framework.
