Observatory for Artificial Intelligence and Ethics in Organizations
The Observatory for AI & Ethics in Organizations is a research joint venture between IESE’s Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Management Initiative, IESE’s Center for Business in Society, ESSEC Business School, ETH Zurich, Campus-Biomedico University, D’Annunzio Chieti-Pescara University and the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).
The Observatory for AI & Ethics in Organizations is a research joint venture between IESE’s , ESSEC Business School, ETH Zurich, Campus-Biomedico University, D’Annunzio Chieti-Pescara University and the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).
The observatory aims to identify and understand ethical and organizational issues emerging due to the pervasive adoption and use of Artificial Intelligence in business and society.
Considering the rapid expansion of AI applications, discussions about ethical and responsible use of AI in organizational settings have indeed become urgent for managers, policy makers, NGOs, customers, activists, etc.
The Observatory for AI & Ethics in Organizations will explore these issues conducting research projects that will involve experts in organization science, human resource management, innovation management and applied philosophy.
The main activities of the observatory include:
- Conduction of research projects that identify and analyze ethical issues associated with the adopted and use of AI in organizations and society
- Organization of research symposia in international conferences such as the AOM Annual Meeting and the EGOS Annual Conference
- Publication of papers in top peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Publication of cases and teaching notes related to AI, Ethics and Organizations
- Publication of articles in newspapers and magazines for the general public
- Organization of seminars and lectures for executives and the general public
- Participating in calls for European and international research funding
