Ricardo Engelbert holds Doctorate and Master degrees in Business Administration from Universidade Positivo (Brazil). His doctorate studies included being a visiting scholar at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at University of Arkansas. His B.Sc. degree is in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Technological University of Parana (UTFPR).
After an executive career of more than 20 years in the telecommunications and information technology industries he switched to the academic environment after his PhD. His C-level positions included activities in marketing, general management and service operations, always connected to information technology driven businesses.
Professor Engelbert is currently a full time professor at ISE Business School, in São Paulo, where he is responsible for the areas of Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In addition, Prof. Engelbert teaches custom courses on operations and general management departments. He also works as consultant and board member at companies that want to promote the digital transformation of their businesses.
