Ricard Gil is a Professor in the Strategic Management Department at IESE Business School.
Ricard received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain). Prior to joining IESE, Ricard has held positions at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario (Canada), the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University, Harvard Business School, and the University of California in Santa Cruz, as well as at the London School of Economics and the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Ricard’s research specializes in organizational economics with a focus on strategy and industrial organization. His research has been published in journals such as Journal of Political Economy, Journal of European Economic Association, American Economic Journal, Management Science, Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, and Marketing Science, among others.
