Pilar de Castro-Manglano earned a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia, Doctor of Medicine, neuroscience program by the University of Navarra, an extraordinary doctorate award with a European mention in 2011. She is a specialist in Psychiatry at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra since 2008 and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She is also Magister in Forensic Psychiatry. She has been an external collaborator of IESE since 2009, teaching in the MBA Program.
As a researcher, she completed her doctoral thesis in first psychotic episodes with three research stays in Neuroimaging at the IOP, Institute of Psychiatry, at Kings College at the Maudsley, London and at the Child Study Center at New York University, NY. Currently, she focuses her research efforts on disease prevention and mental health promotion. She follows two lines of research focused on the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and on the affectation of stress and emotional dysregulation in the executive function.
Pilar combines her clinical work in the Clínica Universidad de Navarra in its headquarters in Madrid, with her teaching activity in the degree of Medicine in the University of Navarre. Collaborates also giving lectures on psychoeducation and prevention of mental illness in Educational Institutions.
