Jorge Pablo Regent has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the IAE, Universidad Austral, and a Bachelor’s CPA degree from Universidad de la República, Uruguay.
He has been Dean of IEEM Business School, Universidad de Montevideo, Uruguay for several terms.
Professor Regent leads the Business Policy academic department at IEEM Business School, Uruguay. He regularly teaches courses on Solving Business Problems, Business Policy, Control Systems and Costs for Decision-Making at IEEM and other schools in Latin America.
He has written several teaching cases and technical notes on decision-making processes, costs for decision-making, control systems and corporate governance processes, mainly in family businesses. Several of his investigations had a notable impact on the Uruguayan public agenda, among them, IT Industry Outlook, Corporate Government in State Companies and Future of Work. In addition to academic work, he has carried out extensive activity for more than 30 years as a consultant to national and international companies, including participation in boards and steering committees of commercial and non-profit companies.
