Pardo

Francisco de Asís Pardo is Lecturer in the Managerial Decision Sciences Department. He is a Telecommunications Engineer from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and holds an MBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarra.

He started his professional career in consulting, later joining BBVA Bank where he held different trading roles, reaching the Executive Director position at the CVA Trading desk, managing the trading floor’s counterparty risks and liquidity. During that time, he specialized in exotic products trading, as well as in the development and deployment of complex derivative valuation models and risk management tools. In 2021, he co-founded Tuio, a Spanish insurtech startup that has changed the user experience in the insurance sector. At Tuio, he leads the Technology and Data Departments.

Additionally, he undertakes consulting projects for startups, serves as a manager at Cabiesa Capital investing in Search Funds, and teaches business analytics and machine learning courses at IESE.
