Miguel Duro es profesor ordinario del departamento de Contabilidad y Control y director del Center for International Finance (CIF) del IESE. El profesor Duro es Doctor y Master en Business (Contabilidad) por Columbia Business School, Executive MBA del IESE, y Licenciado en Administración de Empresas por la Universidad de Sevilla.

Antes de unirse al IESE, Miguel trabajó más de diez años en posiciones directivas en Sybari Software (Microsoft), Pepsi Bottling Group, y Metrovacesa, una de las mayores empresas inmobiliarias cotizadas de Europa. Miguel es Certified International Investor Analyst (CIIA®) y actualmente trabaja como perito judicial en litigios relacionados con valoraciones empresariales y fraudes contables.

Miguel ha sido visiting scholar de la Harvard Business School (2023-2024) y es miembro del European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). Sus intereses de investigación se centran en el gobierno corporativo, la banca, la divulgación de información corporativa, el análisis de la supervisión bursátil de la SEC y los atributos de la información contable. Su investigación se ha publicado en revistas académicas de finanzas y contabilidad (Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, etc.).
