IESE’s Scale-Up Institute, supported by professors Thomas Klueter, Jeroen Neckebrouck, and Mª Julia Prats, develops and curates applied knowledge for scale-up founders contributing to building a global ecosystem of high-growth/impact companies. We offer insights for founders on scaling, fundraising, internationalization, leadership, and ecosystem development.
The Institute is part of IESE’s broader entrepreneurial ecosystem supporting entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors worldwide.
About the Scale-Up Institute
Competitive projects (recent examples)
The EIC Scaling Club is a European Innovation Council initiative supporting 120+ deep tech scale-ups with high growth potential. Over a two-year program, selected companies receive tailored mentoring, access to top investors, corporates, and mentors, and support in scaling across key sectors like digital, health, climate, and mobility. The goal is to boost company value by 40% annually. The initiative is backed by a network of 400+ stakeholders and guided by the EIC Scaling Club Council.
To achieve these goals, the EIC Scaling Club has engaged a network of 400+ industry stakeholders, comprising:
- 120+ deep-tech scale-ups
- 100 investors
- 100 corporations
- 100 mentors
- 50 government agencies
- 50 media and clusters
The Club is led by six complementary partners who believe Europe is a powerhouse of technology and purpose-driven high-growth companies. Its deep-tech scale-ups are tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges. They are Tech Tour, Bpifrance (EuroQuity), Hello Tomorrow, Tech.eu (Webrazzi), EurA and IESE Business School.
IESE contributes with 13 strategic notes: 10 focused on challenge roadmaps (listed below) and 3 on European policy in this space (forthcoming).
InvestHorizon: An initiative financed by the European Commission in association with Eureka. With a consortium of seven partners, the project facilitated series A funding for selected deep-tech companies, boosting their investment readiness and investor relations.
