IESE Business School's campus in Barcelona will be the backdrop for the European Entrepreneurs Summit Roundtable, organized by Europe's 500 on Friday. The event brings together founders of high-growth and major companies in diverse sectors across the EU. The theme for this year's event is "Re-Thinking Growth: Need is the Mother of Invention." Jordi Canals, dean of IESE, will provide opening remarks, along with IESE Prof. Juan Roure, Co-founder of Europe's 500 and Martin Schoeller, President of Europe's 500. Various invited speakers, as well as IESE faculty members, will take part in the event. During the summit, entrepreneurs will reflect upon a range of relevant topics such as today's turbulent global economy, and how to adjust to the new realities this new scenario has created for all sizes of companies. "The Female Economy: How to Capture Your Share of the World's Largest, Fastest Growing Market" is the topic of a presentation to be delivered by Antonella Mei-Pochtler, senior vice-president of the Boston Consulting Group, Vienna. The rise of the renewable energy business, meanwhile, will be the focus of a separate session delivered by Juan Laso, CEO of T-Solar and President of the Association of Solar Industries, Spain. Also during the summit, a special session will be delivered by Nando Parrado, well-known author of the book, Miracle in the Andes: 72 Days on the Mountain and My Long Trek Home. Founded in 1996, Europe's 500 is an European non-profit membership and networking organization for growth entrepreneurs dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and growth in Europe. It represents more than 3,000 growth entrepreneurs in Europe who have been listed and awarded at least once under the list of the Top 500 Growth Entrepreneurs in Europe.
